BMW said it would increase the number of models it produces in China to six from three, including a new, lower-price model positioned below the company’s flagship 3 Series and designed specifically for China.

The new models will include "a completely new entry model below the 3 Series" and a variant of the BMW X3 specifically developed for and produced in China.

the X3 for China was already announced, it's going to be a LWB version. I bet the sub 3 series model will be a small FWD sedan.

Yes,that is the 1 series sedan,which will compete with locally made A3 sadan and CLA.

Next model will be a -1 series.

Seriously though, it sounds like a great plan to take on the Chinese market. I'm sure they'll sell like hotcakes.
