M2 BMW M235i caught completely undisguised

The BMW M2 is a high-performance version of the BMW 2 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. As the 2 Series replaced the 1 Series coupé and convertible models, the first-generation M2 was marketed as the most basic M model in the range. Official website: BMW M

BMW M235i caught completely undisguised

This is it people, the BMW 2 series as an M235i variant. Our spy photographers caught the model undergoing a photo-shoot for the launch material. What we see is an all-new fascia, vastly different from the 1 series hatch. A sportier design, with less "bland" plastic surfaces in the front bumper and a redesigned kidney-grill, results in a very aggressive stance for the new coupe series, strengthened by the bold character line that runs through the doors up until the taillights.

We also see a small M badge on the front fenders, which combined with the rims and blue brake caliper means that this is indeed an M-Sport model. The rear is sadly still covered with a black plastic, but some details can still be made out. The top of the line M235i is expected to come with the familiar N55 3.0l turbocharged engine, with an output of 315-325hp. Under this, there will be a 228i offered from the launch, with the N20 2.0l turbocharged engine with 240hp. The production of the 2 series coupe is expected to begin in November.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
