Both are crazy heavy. M6 cabrio weighs as much as a mid size SUV....strange I never hear certain people about the un-pureness that is the M6 cabrio....

Same here & basically for drive-train... a true master-piece! High-revving V10's performance is phenomenal!

SL63 easily, better looking and you won't have to fool with a goofy transmission on public roads where 99 percent of driving takes place. At the track yeah the M6, too bad that isn't where I'd be if I picking one of these cars.

…and just checked the BMW homepage, the M6 Cabrio is stated with 2.005 kg!

Because the roof is the single most important part in making a car body rigid. Without it, evreything will have to be strengthened and, therefore, heavier.

laptime for SL63: 1.43.5 min
for M6 Cabrio: 1.43.3 min

18m Slalom for SL63: 63.5km/h
For M6 Cabrio: 65km/h

In this comparison test M6 Cabrio was 2007kg and SL63 was 1967kg!!!
40kg difference! even more than 18kg difference in Sport Auto test.

0-100km/h for SL63 in this test is 4.5s and for M6 Cabrio is 4.6s
0-200km/h for SL63 in this test is 14.4s and for M6 Cabrio is 14.0s

Not a big fan of the facelifted SL but I'd take the SL 63 over the M6 Cabrio (-whale ).
