Actually I have tried three of those system the MMI, I-drive and the Command III. And if I am going to put them in an order it will be like this:
1) Command III which is the most user-friendly and an easy system to use.
2) MMI which is the easiest ( no body even taught me how to use it!)
3) I-drive 2 (I have tried the one found in the 6sr) and it was really complicated.

I'm glad to see that there is atleast one of us isn't bullshiting and has actually tested all three systems.

really good to see someone who used all....

Thats the right way to base a opinion.

Actually mrnet_01, perhaps you mentioned it and i missed it, where and when did you try the Command III? Being its so new and all...

Welcome to the forum!

It looks as if I-Drive is the clear winner, but I'm sure the main reason is most people haven't used command III!

Maybe I did this poll too early....

The result don't say anything. Some of us haven't tried either of the systems and the majority of us have probably onle tested one of the systems.

I have tried it 2 days ago at the unveiling party of the new S-Class.
I have received special invitation from my dealer to that party cause I ordered the car, and mine which is S350 LWB will arrive at the end of November if there was no delay.
;)

Unbelivable, 6 votes for Command. I bet three of those votes are from people sitting by the system for only 5 minutes and they think they can already decide which system is the best.
Everything is easy when you know how it works so is I-drive once you learned it.

WOW! Good for you 22yrs of age, and getting/driving a brand new S class. Amazing, how did you get so lucky?! What are the specifics and options of the car, and how much did it come out too (price) ?

Also how was the event what color was the one on display, did you get pictures? Enjoy the car!

No reason to get all up in arms, there will always be fans, and even some that drove w/CommandIII and drove the others systems too.

Point is this poll is a tad pre-mature...

I cant understand why young boys buy a car like S-class, A8 and 7-series. Most guys at that age look at sportcars. A friend of mine is only 21 years old but has only owned one M3 E36 and two M3 E46. He would never consider a luxury car.
Im surprised tou see young guys with luxury cars, cant be that common

Since this poll is useless Im going to vote for I-Drive although I never tested all systems. Im going to act like a confused Fan-boy. :eusa_clap

Probably isn't!;)

As for the poll, sounds like you got it out of your system then, everything alright?

I'll be 30 soon but I would never buy a luxurycar, sportcars still turns me on :)

Me and you are in the same age bracket, and i always loved sports cars and drove them too. The CL55 is the only real car i had that mixed the two... but i definatley agree, personally i love to be comfortable too. Thats why the SLK55 that i really love, i wouldn't get. Just too quiant, i need more room, the CL is ideal for me.

The difference between you and me is that you have the money to buy your own dreamcar but Im not complaining, I'm lucky to know people with nice cars so thanks to them I drive some nice cars as well :)

It's not exactly like that, but i understand what your saying.

I had a 2001 Audi S4 up to recently, and drove only work demo cars. i finally splurged becasue i was able to justify the purchase (mentally too me). I drive for 3 hours a day so comfort and power are key (all highway), so i got it, otherwise i would have got a A8 and kept a M3 'vert on the side for sunny days ;) . This was just the best of both worlds for me.

I've only used I-drive and the Lexus touch screen, and both only for a very short while, so I'm not going to vote this time round.

I wonder if Lexus is going to stick to the touch screen on the LS, especially witht the new field of vision laws. As for the tactile feedback issue with touch screens, perhaps a nice muted audio que would work.

Can anyone explain to me why none of the Germans went the touch screen route? :t-hands:
