I whould chose E63 because I always liked the E class more than the CLS and even though the CLS is sapose to be filling the gap between E and S class it's price is almsot identical to the E and i see it quite pointless because the M5 always gets compared to either of these 2.

In my opinion E class is one of the most beautiful cars Mercedes ever made and after the facelift it handles better than before also. On the other hand CLS although not as beautiful is a more excussive car so i will vote for CLS.

Well it depends for me. The E63 sedan is a big no-no for me, but that could be because I always have to think a a taxi when I see that car. 90% of all E-class sedans are taxis over here....and I would never in a million years pay 150k + Euros for a fast taxi ;)
However, the E63 Estate is one of the most beautiful cars in the MB lineup imo. I really love that one.

So, it's either the E63 Estate or CLS 63 for me. I wouldn't care owning either one.

I've been in the CLS before and it's a bit tiight, for me at least :D That's why i would choose the E-Class.

:t-cheers:

A very long sentence. :D

I'll take the E63 because I think it looks pretty good. The CLS doesn't cut it interior-wise, there isn't enough space for me.

Does anybody know the top speed of this engine disrestricted?

I vote CLS. It's an important 'fashion vehicle' in the Benz upper-midrange, that has cast Benz design in a good light.

The CLS55 was said to have a delimited top speed of 186 mph (around 300 km/h), the CLS63 and E63 are probably the same.

E63 for me. One of the most beautiful MBs of the last years, and way better than the CLS, which after two or more years, i still hate to see. It may be a fashion vehicle as Osna stated, but still doesn't work for me...

CLS63 AMG purely based on STYLE. The E-Class is a worlds more practical, but the CLS just screams sex machine. :eusa_danc

Intresting choice
I whould never take a touring over saloon
just like i whould never take a convertible over hardtop
major CLS dominance i am so disapointed

True, but the way I see it, the wagon looks better, plus it's definitely more rare. Also more useful space.

Ok so it's not as sporty as the saloon. But when you get cars like the M5, E63 and RS6, might as well cash for something a bit more special. These cars don't drive like Miatas anyway

I don't think people will view you as a soccer mom. They drive minivans. THe reason I'm interested in wagons again is because of this car really. Kind of off topic but here it is (335i):

Plus I think the idea of having an M5 touring, E63 wagon or RS6 Avant is just so cool. Generally, I think they all look awesome.
