CLA or Opel Insignia ?

Hello.
I have a 2013 Opel Insignia SRI Petrol , 2.0 Turbo , 220 HP , 36 Torque .
Very much satisfied and love it !

Consider to replace the Opel with a new CLA 180 .

The Opel has lots of extras but the CLA doesn't ( The basic model )
Any thoughts to go ahed or keep my life with the Opel ?

Doesn't make much sense stepping down from a 220 bhp Insignia to an 156 bhp CLA, unless you're looking for a more economical car, but if that's what are you looking for then go for the CLA 220 CDI or better yet go for a C220 CDI.

The economical factor isn't a consideration to me as I don't drive a lot.
When you seat in the CLA you feel more quality but no budget for extras .
The question here is : What to be : Lion's tail or a fox's head ?

I have a friend that has the Opel Insignia Sedan 2.0CDTI Cosmo 160ps, he owns it since 2010, and he changed only a glowplug and the button of the cruise control in more than 150.000kms.
He is very happy of this car, and he is planning to change it with another one, but with the 190ps diesel engine.
The firm every 5 years, give it a budget of 40.000 euros to change his car, and he can also choose the cla, but he said that the opel was very economical and very quite in the motorway. Also he said that the long wheel base and the suspension are very good for making a lot of hours in the motorway.

No matter how you see it, the Insignia is more powerful and better equipped. Unless you definitely need the MB badge, I would suggest to stick with the Opel.

As an overall package the Insignia is a better car although maybe style wise the CLA will certainly attract more attention. If you look at the pros and cons of both cars and then list them out you will probably find it will be better to stick with the Insignia. If you keen on owning a 3 pointed star then for a few thousand extra the C180 will be a much better buy or even better still the C220 BlueTec. The C-class is a much better car than the CLA, more refined, better built, much more space, higher spec equipment and safety features and a more rounded suspension with better ride comfort, steering and agility from its great rear wheel drive chassis.

In my eyes, Insignia looks 10 times better than CLA... That car of MB for me is by far worst in the whole MB line up... Don't like it since day one.

It's not pretty but it drives rather well.

On a side-note, I did a sesrch for AMG models for sale and by my (again) very basic findings, the A (and its siblings) account for a very, very large proportion of AMG sales. People should pay notice.

I don't really see any reason why should you replace your Opel with CLA.
