The back AND INTERIOR looks exactly identical.
I know that Citroen is under Peugeot so I can understand the similarities but they took the rear design from the Mitsubishi Outlander

I'm a bit confused between the relationship of Mitsubishi and Peugeot. Anyone got a clue?

The 3 companies decided to develop this car together. Mitsubishi is responsible for the exterior and interior side of the engineering, so all 3 cars look similar and have an identical interior.

That's modern day automotive engineering for you. :D Unless I'm mistaken, all the cars are built by Mitsubishi in Japan, with PSA engines going into the two "French" cars and VW diesels into the Mitsu version. ;)

^ You know, it really is astounding to me that all these people got together -- an exemplar of global industrial cooperation, lots of long video conferences, thousands of man hours spent on two continents, and a big carbon footprint from all the crossing back and forth over half the world on the company BBJ.

All the excitement. All the enthusiasm ...and THIS! is the result -- one has to wonder why they bothered.

Maybe they just want to speed up the development process, Pegeout and Critoen probably didn't have a development program for a mid sized SUV, and they are desperate for one, so they created this last min job. Renault is better, their new mid size SUV, the Koleos uses Nissan X-trail mechanicals, but it has different exterior and interior styling.

Well, Audi, VW, Seat, Skoda have been doing this for a loooooooong time already. Heck, the flippers behind the steering wheel are almost the same in a Veyron and VW Golf with DSG :t-banghea
