If you sit down and think which are the ten most desirable cars that were ever produced, the first one to come to your mind will be the 911. Not any 911, but the first 911. Then, you would think that you can't get one and you would move on. Well, we have great news, as Singer, a small Los Angeles based company, will sell you a brand new one for from $200.000. These guys produce an excellent recreation of the old time legend, using original chassis and designed, mated with 21st century performance and usability.

The 3.9l engine is hand-built in the US by Cosworth and is mated with a six speed manual gearbox and a limited slip differenctial. It takes Singer between five and six months to transform an old 964 into a modern day supercar with superb retro looks. The obvious question now, would be how does it drive. But you'll have to watch the above video if you are looking for the answer.

In 2013 Chris Harris visited us and drove one of the first naturally aspirated Porsche 911s reimagined by Singer.

This year he came back, so we made a film.

Chris talks turbocharging with Founder, Rob Dickinson, explores the restoration process with CEO, Maz Fawaz and then heads to the Pacific Coast Highway with a whale tail.

This one is just the best isn't it?
The classic Singer and DLS are nice, but they are just a little bit too un-Porsche. Particularly inside, there are parts that you don't recognize. And apparently everyone is buying these for the Porsche connection, not because of Singer's own styling alone.
They really nailed it on this Turbo. Everything looks like factory Porsche, only with extra quality and attention to detail... no expense spared.

But I find it funny how the Singer founder says they started with the wheels on this project. Because I would still rather have an inch smaller diameter.
Also, that green color is 🔥
