To reset the soft closing, pull the fuse for a few seconds. Unless there's a leak somewhere, it should work.

Even if it is just one door, not all of them? Only the drivers side it out, the other 3 work.

The desire to own another convertible has arisen again. No, the S-Cabriolet is not an option lol. The current SL has experienced a big price drop for the introductory 2013 model year, but I still can't really get with the look of the thing, but the prices are tempting. That said, the prices for the previous R230 SL are downright great now. Debating on selling Cora to make room for a SL.

The R230 SL55 AMG is one of my dream cars it's such a beautiful car.

I saw one in the inspection garage last week it's a 2007 model that someone wants to purchase and brought in for a check up.

Normally I will suggest something ridiculous like the SLR or the SLS convertible, now it is a good time when prices are starting to appreciate, but I think the R129 in AMG trim to match your W140, or the 1st face lifted R230 SL 55 AMG will do very nicely.

Yeah an R129 would be nice, but either way in order to make room Cora (W140) would have to go. I'm leaning towards a facelifted R230 now, like a 2011-2012, something more up to date.

IMO, i never liked what MB did to the front end of the 2011-12, especially those oddly shaped headlights.

I didn't either at first, but I like it now and the rest of the car (interior) got a much needed update.

Same with me, I actually like those bean shaped headlights alot, in real life it looks much prettier than the later facelifted version.

Nothing much going on there other than typical fickle BMW behavior. The trunklid is stuck closed. The electric switch has died lol. Nothing will open it. The car drives perfectly though. I don't think I can part with it unless its for another BMW. An M4 Cabrio was a thought for a min.

^^ User error, there is a lockout switch in the center console that I accidently activated by moving things around in the compartment so there was no malfunction. DUH. IN other news. This Mercedes has completely captivated me:

I will get to see it Friday. This could be the new Mercedes for me.

Yes, I miss having a convertible. I miss my old CLK430 Cabrio terribly sometimes.
