Maybe it's for the ease of driving it both ways. But on a serious note: I will be very surprised if this ever makes it to production.

I would be surprised if that exact car found it's way to production, but I wouldn't be surprised to see an new Imperial. That concept is a design study, in my opinion. And don't flame with your opinions of the design, since it's fairly obvious I'm in the minority of people who like the car, so yes I think it's good looking but I don't need to be reminded that you all think it's hideous.
