Now, doesn't this sound a lot like the limited edition, released for the US market a couple of weeks ago? The leather option, that is.

The best part is non-power seats. I never understood why people need them.

That is because some of us can never find the perfect seating position.....................

I admit I'm one of those people. I have my seat position set in memory but sometimes I have to do little adjustments after being in the car for 10-20 minutes or so. I somtimes feel the temperature might have something to do with it as the leather become more slippery after being under the sun for a while. But maybe it's just me....................:D

I would agree with Sunny on this one. Fine, power seats are nice, but in a sportscar? No place there in my book.

I adjust the seats every time I get it back from servicing and it takes about 2 mins and that is bout it till next service.

Oh and did I mention, I also don't like leather seats. :D. Yea, it looks good when new, other wise, worst possible material for seats.

Yes leather is not the best material for car seats from a functional standpoint. It does not grip and hug you like suede or alcantara. But it does not absorb odour, grease, or any liquid spillage.

If I was the sole person driving the car then given the choice I would chose non-electric seats every time, but as the wife drives all of my cars on a regular basis and is quite a bit shorter it does save the hassle of all that readjusting every time. Simple press of a button or better still programmable keys and away you go.

Plus, with resale I know which option will help sell the car.

I like the Start/Stop function...every time you stop and set off again you van year the ///M V8 fire up! :usa7uh::D

Problems with BMW paint!

I never heard this before but Autoexpress highlighted that many customers are complaining bitterly about the finish on their BMW cars. I did know as do many BMW owners that BMW use a different process than most others which causes the more noticeable 'orange peel' effect but didn't know it was more inclined to cause pitting.

Also, the Matt finish, customers in the US with this finish have to sign a wavier stating their paint warranty will be void if they wax it, though no such requirement is placed on UK customers.

Has anyone else heard of these issues?

I have heard of some complaints of orange peel finish, this was a couple of years ago.

Regarding the matte finish, I have not heard anything at all regarding this here in Sweden but I must say that I'm a bit curious as to how one is supposed to keep it clean?

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany. Official website: BMW M
