Attended today's Cars & Coffee at Mercedes-Benz Munich. Obviously most cars at the event are going to be Mercedes'. Enjoy the snapshots!

Wow, just wow!

Like Centurion's Goodwod thread, this was sensory overload!

Couple observations:
- that dog in the SL is frickin' adorable. I'd be happy too if I was in that.
- didn't notice the pixelated faces because why would I? Look at all that gorgeous metal!
- Man, those old Mercedes interiors of yore when they used real wood veneer, the leather, and real metal. In my younger days, I was ambivalent but now I have more of an appreciation for such craftsmanship
- MBs back in the day were more whimisical with their color palate.
- damn good pics!
- the oddest car there is that Pontiac Fiero.

I didn't think the European GDPR covered people in public locations where an expectation of privacy should not be expected.

Thanks Wimmer! So many beautiful car with little to no rust! Out of all car, the below beauty is the one I want. As cool as the F12 is, it looks bloated and out of place amongst these classics.

I didn't think the European GDPR covered people in public locations where an expectation of privacy should not be expected.

Unfortunately the rules and regulations about public photography are still unclear. Theoretically this applies to creative and journalistic photography and thus should be exempt from GDPR.

However, here comes another stupid German rule which states that anything you post on Facebook is considered commercial. Hence, it is possible that I could take photos of such events in public without having to pixelate the faces of bystanders, but the moment I post those original photos on Facebook I am literally committing a crime.

That's my dilemma. Even my lawyer told me to wait it out and see what happens. GDPR sucks, I hate it.

Agree with everything you said!

The old Mercedes' interiors had class and style, then they got kinda boring during the 1990s, but now they're coming back. When I checked out the current S-Class interior at the dealer I was just blown away at the quality and the attention to detail, plus the design. Stunning stuff!

Could be, but Hamburg has the superior locations for automotive photography.
