Have you ever wonder how much different an M5 from an M6 is in real life? Both share the same chassis, the same engine, the same development. Their only differences appear to be the number of doors and the price tag. But is it really that way? The guys from Car&Driver apparently set out to find out, taking both models to the Anglesey Circuit, in Wales.
The M6 was a bit faster in straight line acceleration and so was around the circuit. The tester also found the M6 to have better steering response, less body roll and a tendency to oversteer during turn in, compared to the M5's tendency to understeer. The M6 is 100kg lighter, has a lower centre of gravity and feels vastly different to the M5, despite it's size and weight. Does C&D find the M6's bigger price justified? You'll have to watch the above video to find out.
