^^and still Vette has better track time than Porsche(on Laguna Seca track,atleast)..Man,you cant argue with that..Vette is one mean machine indeed!!!
Really fast.
How much are the ZR1 and Turbo respectively?
Of the top of my head, around $100k for ZR1 and around $130k for Turbo.
German cars just seem to do more with less.....IMO. I was riding next to a ZR-1 the other day, the heating coming from it at the stoplight was ridiculous. Almost as if it was running hot or something, but it wasn't. The sound when he took off was that of a some type of aircraft. I still can't get over the heat coming from the car.

I'm trying to see if there are pigs flying outside my window. A german car winning in acceleration, but losing out on track time to an american car? Ha ha ha.![]()
interesting, I always thought you'd achieve better numbers with a rolling start vs. from a dead stop. From the tests I've seen Edmunds do, their rolling starts tend to be quicker to 60 than their 0-6 tests.
2,9 s to 60mph, that lines up with Sport Auto's 3,1 s 0-100 km/h time (62mph). Nice.![]()
I get why the turbo is faster to 60, but I would have expected the ZR1 to win the acceleration tests at least at higher speeds. Even at 1/4 mile the gap is pretty much same, it is only at 150 it seems to be closing up. The new turbo is a monster in a straight line.
