Capricorn GROUP (capricorn), the German-based industry leader in automotive and motorsport lightweight technology, and Zagato, the world-renowned Italian design and coachbuilding company, have today revealed the first teaser image of what both parties envision a limited production series driver-focused lightweight hypercar to be. The car will be unveiled to the world on October 10th, 2025, at the Zoute Grand Prix in Belgium. During the unveiling, capricorn and Zagato will also reveal the name of the new hypercar and provide full technical details. Strictly limited to just 19 coupes, production will commence in the first half of 2026. The entire series will be offered exclusively through Louyet Group, who are presenting the cars first and foremost to their circle of longstanding VIP clients, ensuring that these few examples are placed directly into the hands of collectors with whom Louyet Group maintains trusted relationships.
Robertino Wild, Founder and CEO of capricorn, commented: “Our first hypercar to carry the capricorn name is the result of many decades spent refining our approach to precision engineering and lightweight design. We wanted to create something that feels technically advanced yet refreshingly analogue, a car that rewards the driver with a direct, uncompromised experience. To shape its exterior, we turned to Zagato, a name that speaks for itself in the world of design. The collaboration was also a personal one; Andrea Zagato is not only a long-standing business partner but also a close friend, which gave the project a special character.
“This hypercar is not only about chasing records or following trends. It’s about bringing together German engineering discipline, Italian design flair, and a shared belief in what a true driver’s car should really stand for. The result is something that speaks quietly but leaves a lasting impression.” Andrea Zagato, President of Zagato, commented: “This project marks a turning point in our 106-year history of collaborating with more than 45 automotive brands in the creation of collectible GT cars. Zagato’s first hypercar introduces a new segment of collectibles, designed to enhance the driving experience beyond the contemporary and classic categories.
Zagato’s bond with the racetrack spans more than a century, ever since the Gran Turismo category brought racing cars that could also be enjoyed on the road. “This hand-built production series embodies the fusion of two DNAs – German precision and Italian beauty – forging an even stronger identity: a true synthesis of timeless design and drivability. Through the heritage, expertise, and unique skills of our two companies, we bring to life a collectible project that opens a new chapter in our story and redefines the standards of emotional design and driving.”
