^ Looks like a modded cabriolet?

More exclusive than their former Alpinas (now owned by BMW), and pretty good looking too.

Its stupid, they went cheap and used the convertible bodyshell the back seat is compromised, for the money you'd have to be a fool or a blind man. If they wanted to keep building BMW based cars they shouldn't have sold Alpina to BMW.

Back in the early 2000’s there was always talk of doing something completely bespoke for Alpina, but BMW politely stood in the way. Now with Alpina under BMW, they might revisit the idea. Personally the first Bovenspein car should have been something more specialised rather than a rebodied M4.

Certainly attractive in that darker blue...in an "old school design affine" way. Maybe a bit overboard regarding some isolated elements. Maybe a bit "dated" regarding some other isolated elements. BMW's own very limited production Skytop and Speedtop cars found takers almost instantaneously. Whether that will be the case for this car ? And especially the magnificent Speedtop leaves this Bovensiepen Zagato faltering quite spectacularly in direct comparison.

If Bovensiepen want to build cars based on BMWs I'm all for it, but as with most Zagatos - this one is not particularly a looker.

I wonder if it'll be another overrated piece of garbage like the one they already released.
If they haven't completely changed designers and their lukewarm mindset, they're doomed.

If they haven't completely changed designers
overrated

The designers of the Bovensiepen Zagato, were... Zagato. Now, they've had far more misses than hits in my humble opinion, but there is clearly a section of people that do enjoy what Zagato do, and that's backed up by similarly priced coach-built products based on other brands being popular enough to command substantial price tags, often several multiples of the base car price.

Christian von Koenigsegg and Gordon Murray both slapped down ~€650,000 for what I think is a deeply questionable looking Zagato bodied Alpine A110 with a 4 cylinder engine and 249hp, but I can respect their grounds to have a different opinion.
