Here is one at ISO 1600 with NO NR and shot at f/2.8 at 1/30th with the 17-55 IS.

I think the most notable improvement is the LCD. You can actually see the images and data, even in direct sunlight and very sharp. The menu is improved and the AF seems quicker and more accurate. Have not really checked the detail improvement with the addition of more pixels but the color seems more natural. All in all I think I am getting better exposure which could be the new DIGIC 4 processor.

Can't get much sharper than this...

It seems quite noisy for ISO200 though?? Can particularly see it in the sky...

(PS I just checked the exif data.. seems to be ISO400?)

Yes it was shot at ISO400. I played with DPP and CS3 and frankly I don't know which image I posted. I have a tendency to try and push too much to get the effect I want and I think I probably introduced some noise during PP. I redid the image in CS3 and I think this one is pretty clean. I have not had noise problems and even the 1600 ISO's I posted are clean. See what you think of this one... a larger file.

This would have been a good one for HDR processing. Bright sun, deep shade and sky half cloudy and bright blue.
