De' Silva wasn't kidding when he said Audi's mission was to appeal to buyer's emotions. Once you sit behind the wheel of the A6, you'll want to hang on to it for as long as you can.

Trust me, this one's a heart breaker.

With all the S6 and now RS6 talk going on this stellar "everyday" Audi has been lost in the shuffle. It continues to be one of my favorites in the segment.

I think the A6 is one of the most unique looking cars in its segment. I love the wrap-around console, too.

Great find Merc1! I test drove the 2006 A6 4.2 and I was in love with every aspect of it. When I went to my local Audi dealer in Cherry Hill NJ and hoped in the one on the show room, the sales woman went and grabbed the keys and came and asked me for my license. We drove it around the Cooper River, which is for of twist and turns. When I was driving it the lady asked me to step on it, and boy did I! I would of been in the River driving 90% of the other vehicles out, not not in this thing. It just sat on the road no matter how fast I entered the turn with no noticeable body role! I wanted to buy the car on the spot! The only problem is my girlfriend has wants one for herself, but damn I love that car and will due whatever it takes to make sure she gets the 07 A6 4.2 this summer!
