Wow, thanks for the info,.....but wow, if we go by this detailed description, it's like talking about something that points to Rolls Royce more than a Cadillac flagship, especially because of the limited numbers? and handmade.....?

The 50s and 60s brought to the future only increases my desire to see it, will it be true or is this boy very fanatical, from what he says the cool "fins" are back
You can check out their discussion if you want. ( gmauthority.com ) Find the last topic about this model.

As they say it will be positioned above the F-segment. RR/Bentley level but in the Ev market.

That guy's nickname is G8burnout. Nope, he is not fanatical. He is just impressed by what he has seen.

I have also heard the same reaction from different people.

I'm really impressed by their Lyriq which costs 60k +-.
So I won't be surprised if this car is just as stunning as some people say.

I'm also hyped about the retro details.

Retro futurism is a great idea for this model.

Here is another post from him:

"The theme of this car is Art Deco.

What Caddy is trying to do is use this EV push to return to what made them successful in the first place – quiet, powerful, world-class luxury. And they were never more successful doing this historically then during the Art Deco Era of American design.

The plan is to imagine what the Art Deco of the future would look like, and that’s why I expect they will be referencing “futurism” and “the future” a lot whenever they market this thing. Remember the World’s Fairs way back in the day, when crazy concepts and inventions and exploration were revered? There was a lot of hope and optimism, and science and technology were exploding. Now, they want to create that for a new era.

You can see this in the Cadillac Goddess on the front fender…plunging ahead, LEADING. Fear and hesitation be damned, history belongs to those willing to take risks. For Cadillac, that’s risks in design, prestige, attainability, technology, and appeal. We haven’t really had a world-class Cadillac in about 60 years…that’s about to change.

I promise you it will take the car world by storm. Not just in America, but Asia, Europe, and beyond. I strongly believe that the Celestiq will usher in a new era for Cadillac, which is leaving Art and Science behind for a reincarnation of the period of their history when their products simply couldn’t be topped. Make fun of them and doubt all you want, but I find that incredibly exciting."

"From what I’ve seen its going to be absolutely stunning. It’s enormous, bold, sleek, sexy, and powerful…and the interior is mindblowing (haven’t seen the whole thing, full disclosure). People who say this is an electric Bentley competitor won’t be dealing in hyperbole…it is. And better.

There hasn’t been a more true “Cadillac” product coming from the brand since the 60’s. This thing reminds me of the coach-building days at Caddy, when they truly were the standard of the world.

There’s a really cool feature on the front passenger side of the dash that mimics the Rolls Royce “Gallery”…I believe all done in acrylic. The design looks like 3D flowers in a way. Obviously we know about the pillar-to-pillar front screen, which is incredible. There’s also an abundance of screens elsewhere, but they don’t look tacked on or overpowering…they blend in beautifully. From what I’ve heard, there are at least 3 very deliberate design features inside that are supposed to recall the Cadillacs of the 1930’s, as the main motif of this car is Art Deco of the Future. There’s a hell of a lot of glass crystal and very rich leather, including the center console, which has a sweet infotainment knob setup that makes Maybach look cheap. Lighting is also supposed to be amazing, and the transparent glass roof can actually change color with the interior. Each passenger will be able to dim their own section of that roof as they desire.

Essentially, General Motors will take fully custom orders on the same level as the Bespoke departments at Bentley or Rolls-Royce. For example, if a customer wanted to use the wood from a tree on their property when outfitting the interior trim in their new Cadillac Celestiq, General Motors will accommodate."

This quote is from the gma journalists:

"All told, the new Cadillac Celestiq will be the most customizable vehicle in GM’s history."

So yeah. Let's wait and see.

For all the bad-mouthing Caddy gets, and fair amount is well-earned, they was potential even up until recently. The CT6, with a little more polish, would be solidly competitive upper-segment car.
But again, the problem is not necessarily the product. It is the brand. It is dead. So CT6 if it is still a Cadillac, would still be a sales flop, no matter how much polish you wax on. (all of course, IM-very blinkered-O).

This is lovely to read, very exciting, risky but planned decisions, it seems that they took time but we will see something in production as bold as the "Sixteen" but this time for real, if anyone can do it it is Cadillac, we will see the result because the anticipation It can not be bigger so the disappointment can be too

Things like this are the ones that pull your entire line and your entire brand

None of that garble from a GM board means thing. All the same shit has been said for the last 40 years about every new Cadillac and it has never meant a thing once the product is shown and it’s a big nothing. The car will do the talking when it shows up. Like Sunny is saying the brand is a joke beyond a single vehicle. So for the millionth time, the world will believe it when it sees it. Until then all the talk means less than nothing.

It’s all earned. Everything they do up until like a few mins ago has been so half assed that it’s laughable. What you’re saying about the CT6 is the story of the brand. Woulda shoulda coulda. Nothing they make stands out beyond the Blackwing vehicles and the Escalade. Their XT line of crossovers are an utter joke still today.

It is funny how much some of this echoes the "fail upwards" stuff Jag puts out - "Yea, we couldn't compete with BMW or Mercedes, so now we will now compete with Bentley and RR!".

I said that a million times. How can you compete with Bentley and Rolls when you couldn’t compete with Mercedes and BMW. That said if they come up with something truly stunning from design to engineering, it is possible. It require a total corporate change tho and a shitload of money.

Only 500 copies? I understand less and less

I think its just a speculation. But I can't wait to see this car. I want to see a big luxurious powerful Cadillac like it used to be in its prime many decades ago.

So now it's a concept. Oh well. Let me know when the production vehicle arrives.
