As some of you on here my know i have a C63 on order for April 2008 delivery.

I was just looking at DMS and they say they can get about 558bhp out of a CLS63AMG with a remap.

As the engines are they same do you think it would be possible to remap the C63 to give like 500bhp??

If you can then mine will be done ASAP:eusa_pray :eusa_pray :eusa_pray

If I were you... i would let my C63 stock, the time you are stunned by its power, the time to get used to it, the time to learn the car and to loose the "surprise" effect.

When you begin to feel that you are used to the power of the car, to its incredible motor, then you go for a remap... And you have a new car, even if it is always the same!!! You will really feel the difference, really appreciate the remap, and fall in love with the car a seconf time.

If you remap the car before really having driven it, you won"t feel the difference, and will only have one new car instead of two...

You can definitely get 500bhp from the C63, just remove the restrictions AMG has on this engine and you are on you way to 500bhp+. The engine power isn't a problem, it is the gearbox. Right now the 7 speed G-tronic is on the limit of how much torque it can handle, so you probably need to strengthen it if you engine has more then 630 Nm of torque.

I understand your point of view, but for me the engine has been detuned, for the simple reason that MB dont want their cheapestAMG car being by far the fastest.

I like my cars to perform to their potential. If they do i love them, unfortunatley when i get bored i buy another car:t-crazy2: for which my wife thinks im nuts:eusa_doh: :D

buy a tuned Toyota Supra if you want a fast car, you easily get 600-800 hp :D

More power can be squeezed out of the engine but 457hp is more than enough to get you into trouble with that car. Like Raoul said, wait until you get the car, drive it like crazy and if your not happy then, get it tuned up.
