Apparently the Ford GT broke something in the differential, so another Ford Gt was used that didnt dyno quite as high (-21hp), so maybe the road course time for the GT could have been better they said. They made mention of the Vette's electronic control systems, so I'm not sure if they were deactivated or not (torque management) Anyways, here are the numbers:

RWHP/RWTQ on a Mustang dyno
Viper-447rwhp/431rwtq
ZO6-453rwhp/411rwtq
Ford GT-535rwhp/460rwtq (initial car, not the -21hp one I think)

Z06 by far the best bang for the buck. Car is insne and a must have for any real sports car enthusiast.

Yeah, Z06 is best bang for the buck. That said, IMO the Ford GT has a look all its own. If you're not bent on bang for buck, then it'd still be ok - if you can stomach the price.

As for the Viper, maybe some people like its look, too.
