Yupp it's very smart and might prevent some owners from charging a $300,000-600,000 premium on their Veyron because the spec is "1-of-1 blah blah blah"And marketing genius in order to continue making cash even on second hand cars...

For those who haven’t watched the video it reveals that you can recommission a Bugatti!
It‘s basically buying a used Veyron and having it re-virginised by respraying and reupholstering the cabin as if you are ordering a new one. The work is done at the Bugatti factory which preserves the warranty.
IMO this is brilliant and a great option for rejuvenating Veyrons or Chirons in untasteful, boring or too personal specs.
1,500hp + AWD, why shocked?9.4 @ 158mph stock![]()
8.0 liters, W16, Quad-Turbo, 10 radiators, 1.500 hp, yes, totally stock9.4 @ 158mph stock![]()
Your move Koenigsegg and Pagani!WHAT THE FU...!! Bugatti let a magazine do an instrumental test?!?!
At the test they published 2.2 seconds since they still used the 3-60 mph approximation, but they also had measured 2.1 seconds as time with one foot roll-out which they published later after they had changed their measuring method. The 918 got 2.1?
AMS times are without rollout so you have to add 0.2 seconds rollout to the Chiron times for a standing start comparison. Up to 100 km/h they're equally quick.Gees 4.4sec to 100mph and 15.7sec to 200mph. Shit that is faster than Superman. Its quite a bit faster than the previous 1200hp Veyron Supersport. Here is the figures from AMS test in 2011. C/D figures for Chiron in brackets which I interpolated for some.
Test - Bugatti Veyron Super Sport (The record car)
- Engine: W16 with 4-turbochargers
- Power: 1200 hp / 6400 rpm
- Torque: 1500 Nm / 3000 rpm
- Weight (with full of fluids): 2026 kg (Chiron - 2061kg)
- Vmax.: 431 km/h (limited to 415 km/h)
- 0-100 km/h: 2,7 s (Chiron - 2.5sec)
- 0-130 km/h: 3,7 s
- 0-160 km/h: 4,9 s (Chiron - 4.4sec)
- 0-200 km/h: 7,0 s (Chiron - 6.1sec)
- 0-240 km/h: 10,0 s (Chiron - 8.6sec)
- 0-280 km/h: 14,3 s
- 0-300 km/h: 17,5 s (979 m) (Chiron - 13.7sec)
- 400 m: 9,9 s (239 km/h) (Chiron - 9.4sec - 254km/h)
- Braking (100-0 km/h): 36,7 m (cold/warm) (Chiron - 48.8m from 113km/h -0)
- Braking (190-0 km/h): 132 m
- 18 m slalom: 66,0 km/h
- 110 m ISO evasive test: 147,2 km/h
How did you calculate 0-200 and 0-300 for the Chiron?Gees 4.4sec to 100mph and 15.7sec to 200mph. Shit that is faster than Superman. Its quite a bit faster than the previous 1200hp Veyron Supersport.
