While the latest version of IE is much better than the previous one, it still drives me up the wall. I've never really liked IE, I was a Netscape user before Firefox came along. Nowadays it's Firefox all the way for me.

Well I started from IE, went to FF and now also use Opera.
I like Opera for several reasons, but FF still beats it because of all those extensions.

Latest Opera is nice, but some things are crapy and just for show off like the torrent and voice capabilities.

With FF and its extensions I have basicaly everything I want from the Opera minus loading speed.

Opera, easier to use than Firefox, just as safe and does everything I need a browser to do better than Firefox.

I love my Firefox! It has all the plug-ins I need for my job as well as for my personal lifestyle. I like opera but in some forums it acts weird so I stopped using it. IE can suck my balls! Safari? don't own a mac so no point.

I used to use IE6. Then I changed to Firefox. I tried Opera before and after it became free. It's almost as good as FF but I couldn't find AdBlock+ (or similar) for Opera so I almost always use FF. IE7 is just garbage compared to these two.

I actually found FF to be easier to use.

That's one of my problems with Opera, tough it has improved in the last 5/ 6 years.
... and it still has rendering issues.

For Firefox to load it faster and load page faster you need Preload, FasterFox and ocasionally Google Web Accelerator.

And I don't know anything about such add ons, and I find Opera to work faster than FF.

That's super strenght of FF, being open source, it has all sorts of addons. :D
That makes it the greatest browser IMO.

It will equall almost everything Opera has to offer (minus mail, actual zoom and voice) and then surpass it.

Such as:
- AIOS (= sidebar, even has Opera behavour)
- Add Bookmark Here
- ImgLikeOpera
- Image Zoom (not as good tough)
- Mouse Gestures  (you can make your own)
- Rewind/Fast Forward Buttons
- Stop-or-Reload Button
- ScrapBook
- Secure Login (=Wand)
- Past and Go 2
- User Agent Switcher
- Wizz RSS News Reader
- Web Tab Mix (customise tabbar to your heart's delight)

And ofcourse than comes the AdBlock, NoScript and FlashBlock brigade.

But I like Opera too.
Because of Mozilla, Opera is now free and has widgets, and "opera:config" and is more easy to use.
Also Opera camed with the tabs, and many, many other features now available on FF and IE.

Firefox for me it rules:D

I think so too. IE7 is so unstable. Although FF crash once a week or so it has the restore feature which brings back the pages you were on before the crash.
As for Opera I used it 5 years ago when y'all knew nothing about tabs but have no idea if it's better than FF.

won't try it for a few years.

What version and how many plugins do you have ?!

Some crashes are the fault of other programs (typically Yahoo Mesanger with
some of tis experimental dlls).

The latest version is light years ahead of the crap was 5/6 years ago and it's free too.
Some say it's better then FF, and in some ways it is ... BUT, and here comes a big BUT
- several sites aren't Opera friendly so expect renderimg issues,
and
- whatever Opera gives you out of the box (and it gives you plenty) you won't be able to extend/inhance/customize it like FF thru addons.

Clearly IE. The latest IE with Wondows Vista is a great match imo. I don't like all this third party crap, same with cars.

IE7 on XP sucks, much like IE6 sucked, but it's veyr unstable in XP iteration
i've migrated my data to a vista laptop, and i find the IE7 useage on vista to be superior to firefox, reliavility is still tops, none crashed, but IE7 is so much better integrated into the vista look and feel

I thought the same until I tried Firefox/Opera... I never looked back.

Here is the number of security threats (or 'holes') during the second half of 2006 according to Symantec's (the company behind Norton Internet Security and other Norton products) latest "Internet Security Threat Report":

Internet Explorer: 54 (1 high-severity vulnerability)

Firefox: 40 (No high-severity vulnerabilities)

Opera: 4 (No high-severity vulnerabilities)

Safari: 4 (No high-severity vulnerabilities)
