The front was a concern of mine, but that has been allayed. Looks really good. I'm wondering how they are going to interpret the Panamera interior this time around...

Is it true the Boxster S is not getting the 3,4l from the 911 Carrera? It would have been som much better with the 350 PS engine. The rumors say 3,2l!

Do you notice it has reverse LED light under the rear wing?

excited about this little roadster, initially was going to trade in my Si for a 1M, but passed given limited availabilty and huge mark-ups. A base boxster is all the car I need. Porsche is likely to hike the base price on this thing, but if it's still within "reasonable" range, might go for it.

Any word on official release date ?

Down sizing isn't neccessarily a bad thing. You get:

-Lower engine mass
-Better fuel economy

Porsche never does reverse engineering so you can bank on the new engine having a higher power output and possibly revving higher. All in all, a win for everyone, even the EU bureaucrats in Brussels.

Oh my god. What a surprise. That is so sexy. I guess that's the sports chrono dial now better integrated in the dash.

That is a very nice interior.. :)
maybe for the first time the boxter can be a grown up car..instead of the fruity little porsche:)

Very nice interior!:) Other than these very playful :)central air vents, it would have looked just perfect, imho.

Yep, interior is much better than the exterior. I'd rather have it the other way around but I guess you can't have it all...
Too much red though. Some black plastics would have been ok too.

And it's exactly like the Panamera and 911, but I think we can only complain about that one when we talk about a BMW interior. So forgive me.

Yeah, and it looks like they added it for the sake of adding it. But feel free to call that 'well integrated'.
I personally think it just clutters the interior. But then again I don't like that stupid clock in the 911 either....

Seems like your in the minority regarding the exterior klier. Anything in particular from the photo's we have seen that strikes a nerve?

I like everything very much, interior and exterior. I have no crtics against anything at all. It is looks like it is going to be a "perfect" car.

It will very much be a perfect car. Let's pray for a reasonable power output so that the car can achieve its potential as a mini CGT.

According to Insideline, we are looking at a , weight reuction with aluminum use , slight downsize in displacement 2.7 and 3.2 respectively, coupled with better hp numbers. Essentially following int the direction of 991. Sounds reasonable if you ask me.

Roadandtrack on the other hand is spreading rumors about a 2.5 boxer 4 with a turbo with 360 hp for the boxster S. they must be smoking some really good stuff
