Less than a month after the official reveal of the 2009 facelifted SL range from Mercedes-Benz, German tuner Brabus has already completed a new performance upgrade for the lineup including the addition of a new V12 powered model based around its twin-turbo V12 S engine. Brabus hasn’t released official details about the new range but two images of the upcoming car have been leaked.
The new range will be called the R230 and some of the features include new two-piece forged Monoblock VI alloy wheels measuring 20in in diameter. The car also comes with a revised front bumper and rear diffuser housing an upgraded exhaust system. Other details include twin foglamps and LED daytime running lights.
Brabus’ previous kit for the SL-Class included a 730hp (537kW) V12 engine, but we suspect the latest version will be able to better the previous car’s output as well as its 0-100km/h time of four seconds. Top speed, however, is expected to be limited to 350km/h.
