They scanned the Maybach 6 and did this

I am not overwhelmed, and I am not underwhelmed. Just whelmed.

It's definitely not bad at all, which is what I kind of expected. Quite to opposite.

The custom car business is booming I see.

Brabus are building this car for survival. Their breed and butter used to be tuning and boring B8 AMG engines. AMGs are increasingly hybrids or EV. This kills Brabus bread and butter.

Neither can they rest on their laurels and live off the G-Wagon which has more aftermarket options than 10 years ago. They have expanded s bit to Porsche and Range Rover models. However there’s no competitive advantage there and it’s easy to be copied.

This car and other bespoke ones are not easy to copy or undercut in price. If it sells well, Brabus might build more custom cars.

BRABUS was supposed to be the first people to swap a V8 in the W206, People would be banging their door, Crying for a 4.5L W206 C63.

But they chose to do a turquoise blue interior Vogue like all the car shops in Miami/Dubai can🤦‍♂️.

The proportions of the body's architecture are...imposing. An embodiment of the "long, wide, low & sleek" luxury GT school of design. Curvacious muscle mass but not sinewy or vascular. I personally appreciate BRABUS´ resistance to applying excessive afterthought tacky, rubbish ornamentation. And IMHO, it resembles an M-B more than it does an Aston Martin. Perhaps that can be construed as a positive attribute-an attribute that achieves the link to what BRABUS was once exclusively about. An interesting automobile that only very, very few will actually see on a public road/street.

La vista lateral es preciosa. Sí, un precioso Temu Maybach 6.
Basically, they reduced the "prestige gap" (I think that's what it's called, the distance from the base of the windshield to the front axle) by 1 meter and voila, this definitely has Mercedes' authorization and license to use.

Still a lovely side profile though. You really can’t go wrong with that.

Side view is so pretty. But yeah, a lovely Temu Maybach 6.
Temu? More like Zara.

I don’t think it’s an insult to the concept. This is a very pretty car and has a unique balance between grace and aggression. Interior and build quality will likely be way above anything creaking that Mercedes would build.

It’s a real success for me!
And the roadster version is coming out next year.
And there’s talk of a Rocket version too.

Is Brabus launching as an independent brand? Even if it's a Brabus version of what could have been the Maybach 6?

They'll surely attract some of those who longed to own that Maybach, 10 years late, but still...
