I'm already thinking about my next car and I have two candidates. These two are the top 2 cars I'm considering for my next car. Strange as it may seem, these two are my options.

BMW Z4 3.0si Coupé (I6 N/A, 265hp/315nm)
VW Scirocco 2.0T (I4 Turbo, 200hp/280nm)

----------------------

Z4 Coupé been a dreamcar for me a couple of years since I saw the pics for the first time. It's one of the funniest BMW I've ever driven. It might not be as beautiful as the Scirocco to look at but the Z4 is looks way cooler and is a lot sportier car to drive than the Scirrocco.
+ Cool factor
+ Driving Dynamics
+ Driving fun
+ RWD
- only 2 seated

---------------------------------

I've driven Scirrocco as well. The exterior is very beautiful but driving dynamics is no good as the Z4.
+ Exterior
+ More economical
+ 4 seated
- FWD

These are the two cars I'm talking about:

I love the scirocco but the Z coupe is almost a legend (the engine is just one of the best in the world), so if yu don't have kids, go for it.

If only the Sircocco was RWD:(

I'm going to have to go for the Z4 because of RWD:cool:

I voted for the Z4 Coupé!! Great looking, stunning engine, lovely sound! Well, with the new Z4 - the Coupé is way older, then the Scirocco! But especially the prices for used cars will reduce then! It's a timeless car with one of the best engines BMW ever produced!

Go with fun car. I guess your taste is like mine Andreas, I guess if I own a FWD now I'd be dead of boredom.

Congrats mate for the new car, whatever you end up choosing :t-cheers:

I think those cars are in different segments.
The Z4 is a bit old now, but still a much better car

I don't think you're the kind of guy that would buy a car, just because we voted for it, but i f i were you, i would really go for the Z4 if i could live with 2 seats! The Scirocco is just a good FWD, while the Z4 is from another planet!

:t-cheers:

I'm actually surprised to see u Andreas deciding between these two,it's a crystal clear for u,a six cylinder engine plus RWD vs TT I4 and FWD..so easy for u:D

the z4 is a all time classic
people are still going to talk about this car in 40 years

on the other hand the scirocco is of course better in everyday use, especially during winter time

i voted for the Z4 because i love it
but i would probably buy the scirocco(= get my self a mini/clubman)

Well despite lagging in looks and practicality, Z4 is really in a different league. But I doubt I'd choose it as my one and only car.

There is no comapring. The Z4 is the only real alternative here. The Scirocco is a mighty fine Golf with other clothes but nothing more. Go for the Z4 but make it a Z4 M Coupe, they are not more than a couple of €k more.

The FWD part is another thing. Some will never like it and I think the Scirocco is not the car that will make anyone change their mind. If you want something FWD that really delivers driving pleasure go for a Renault Sport (Mégane or Clio) or MINI Cooper S/JCW.

The Z4 on the other hand is already a classic and will keep its value so much better than any disguised Golf.

I know this sounds stupid but you should wait for this...

.................... NO?

OK, buy the 2 seater fun car if you want to feel really good.

Buy the Scrocco if you... if you... you.. if ? .. Dam'n
No reason..

ah, Z4 is classic looks good IMO!
:)

Tough choice this one - two cars with completely different philosophies to motoring.

I've never really liked the Z4 and because its 3.0L engine would incur higher road tax, plus the fact that a new model is arriving already, I'd go for the 'Roc. Its engine can be tuned to much more than its figures would suggest, and even though its FWD you can have fun too... Just gotta be careful. The Z4 I would say is more driver focused - lower, wider, RWD. I think you'd like the Z4 better overall but practicality counts in too. :D

If you ask me, it's an ugly car against a beutiful one. Scirocco easily for me!

Scirocco is expensive... I'll never pay that money for it! I'd go for a 1-Series instead... Rwd + tons of fun! :t-cheers:

Z4C Coupe - an instant classic.
A unique motoring experience.
You don't have any kids (that I know of :D) - so nows the time to own one of these.

Scirroco - great but a little too "regular" compared to the uniqueness of the Z.
