There is a video from Mercedes aswell, thanking BMW for 100 year of competition, and also telling that the 30 previous years were boring

I love it Mercedes congratulating BMW but still rubbing it in that they 30years older.

Looks strange but I do like that grill alot, classic narrow vertical BMW kidneys, hommage to the cars of the 50's to 80's.

It is real, at least the video, its from mercedes official instagram page..

BTW! I love that grill on the concept, i always said they need to bring back that tall grill..

Thats a great looking concept, much more futuristic than most BMW concept cars for a while, I would say this one looks the most revolutionary, I like it alot

I don't recall BMW congratulating MB at all on their anniversarys.

50 year, 75 years and 100 years are real anniversaries. 130 years is just marketing, and every other number too. Well maybe 125 years, that's a special number too.

Non typical headlights is a good sign too, I am getting fed up with the quad eyes behind glass: it has been on every car except the E46 compact since the E36. Time for change.

Cool stuff. Not that these super futuristic concept are my fav ones, but what it shows is cool.

Who knows, maybe the place in on a future movie like Audi and Lexus did back in the day.

I'm sorry BMW but - for me - this concept is too far-fetched and too intangible by which to mark your centenary celebrations.

And yes, before all the futurist killjoys climb down my throat for my excruciatingly myopic view of automotive progress: I do realise the significance and the spirit (here's to the next 100 years - duh, I get it) behind this concept - however, I still feel that us BMW fans / customers ought to see something a bit more realistic to mark the auspiciousness of the occasion.

in my optinion its a little bit too artistic. they should have concentrated a little more on the autonomous driving aspect. yes the steering wheels stores away, but the possibilities shouldnt end there - this should be where its starts.

The rear ligts continue the rear lights design of former concepts. Maybe because we will see a kind of this at production cars?

Agreed. But if you had to choose between this or the G30? What would it be (when keeping in mind the G30 is coming either way, with or without celebrations)?

Maybe a preview of the next Z car would have been nice. Something a little more tangible

That concept, its nearly impossible to have an opinion on it..

it looks like a abstract drawing, other than the grill i just shake my head at it..

Im sure there is some impressive tech to it though..

Anyway.. anticlimax 100 year celebration to say the least.
