I wonder why so many BMW fans are staying there. That's the opposite of all what made the company great.
Yes, the car looks fresh. Is that enough ? I never would like to sit in, but seeing on the road is acceptable.

Maybe BMW and MB want to change their customership completely.

It looks like it's wearing those librarian glasses to me and I can't unsee it.

Graft the iX3 front end on to it, and I think it looks a whole lot better...

He could see high strength steel with the naked eye if I recall correctly.....and I believe that subject was the last we heard of him.

And judge the brake cooling efficiency of the bumper intakes.

I get that it’s the dedicated electric iteration of the 3 Series but I can’t say I’m all that impressed with how the exterior styling turned out.
I’m curious to know what the wheel sizes are for the cars in the pics because they look huge. A design approach needed to offset the bloated sheetmetal in the pursuit of wheel-to-surface ratio? The C-pillar isn’t great either. That black plastic filler clearly implemented to reduce the visual mass of the C-pillar stemming from the rear door shutline.

I guess it’s more difficult to unpack the proportions born out of necessity with electric cars but I’m glad we still have the G50 with its traditional formula to look forward to. In the case of the iX3 and its X3 counterpart, the former is arguably the more attractive design (I still think the X3’s proportions are superior) but with NA0 vs G50, I’m sure the opposite will be true.

Agreed.

This would have been far more compelling were the design elements draped over a traditionally proportioned ICE sedan. There's a lot to like externally, that just doesn't quite add up unfortunately.

That said. The market is eating up the Neu Klass design and I'm sure this will be a hit. The greater public doesn't give a shit about the things we do, such as proportion.

Still hating on the MPV style interiors BMW's are getting. They are only sporty in superficial design elements. Nothing about the interior architecture is sporty otherwise.
