This is spectacular. Maybe even the best EV front end design out there.

Btw, it's a bit short to be a 3er, isn't it?

Since it doesn’t need to accommodate an I6 under the bonnet it can be shorter with the same or perhaps more interior space.

Regarding BMW Vision Neue Klasse ...

Guys, please do mind this still just a VISION concept.

Check other past Vision concepts that indicated upcoming models:

BMW Vision EfficientDynamics --> BMW i8

BMW i Vision Dynamics --> i4

It's the same case here.

There are some clues but that's not even near to the NK i3 Concept car, even less the NK i3 production version. But you are getting the idea where BMW are heading with the interior & exterior design & all the tech.

IMHO all the Vision cars look much better then the real production versions. I'm sure this will also be the case with the NK i3. Sadly.

Seeing it in real life. Despite your height it is very squat and flat. Changes that would need to be implemented for production.
A personal note and what seems to be agreement with others that it will end up more with 3er proportions but with the Vision NEUE KLASSE design details.
Elements of design such as the front, rear surfaces etc… to bring it altogether.

Like the Vision Efficient Dynamics/i8 The Vision DEE/NK are showing work in progress. We will see further refinement when the first prototypes go street live this Autumn on the road to production.

Exactly.

Dedicated EV platform makes possible a longer wheelbase at shorter total car length.

Eg. i5 vs EQE

Length: i5 5060 mm vs EQE 4950 mm (-110 mm)
Wheelbase: i5 2995 mm vs. EQE 3120 mm (+112mm)

It’s the best vehicle in its class.
People seem to not understand that unfortunately. It sells like crazy, at least in my country, they’re everywhere. Looks really good in real life too. It looks so futuristic, even my mom, who doesn’t understand about design or cars said “wow this looks really unique, how much does that cost” 🤣🤣🤣
Sadly some individuals will get irritated again and reply with a smiling face to my reply, but it’s the truth lol.

Well, a bit worrisome then. BMW history when moving a vision to production is not the best one.

We’ll have to wait and see.

And can we talk about how good does the concept looks? Finally something fresh and unique. Loving the front and side view. Proportions are on point too. Hopefully it will turn into reality, cause in the bmwblog Youtube video Domagoj said something like “it’s not a future product” which is hopefully not true. Everyone needs a good leaking sedan EV at this point (Merc take notes)

It's like the blockbuster E21 but with four doors that never was, 50 years in the future

Well, in the first case, I move on to the final product almost even better than the concepts.

I do tolerate all the comments critical to BMW. There are plenty of them here.

Actual BMW fans are the most critical and hard to please, particularly on this forum where most talk these days is negative. So yeah we all tolerate it, which cannot be said for the MB side of the forum where it mostly is the complete opposite.

But the negativity is going to disappear like snow in the sun when the NK cars launch. We will climb out of the valley together.

It could be very different actually this time around because the NK is an EV car and doesn't have the physical restraints that an ICE has.

In other words, making an EV out of a non functional concept is 10 times more easy than making an ICE out of it. So in the end I have higher hopes for more similarities between NK i3 and Vision NK, but I definitely see what you mean.....

Some inevitable changes will actually make the car look even better than it does now, when they raise the beltline and 'fix' the Hoff kink like in @Uygar's render

Great to see that thread banned Leylandi troll can still continue to do his thing through the like system!

Wait, what?

@bmwblog isn't this concept supposed to preview the 3er EV coming in 2025? Are we missing anything here?

BMW is doing a better a job in updating old Renault designs than Renault itself. Look at that magnificent rear, there is no way there were better options than this. I really hope the production version will be like this, will certainly bring a smile to my face when I see them on the roads.

Had to make sure I wasn’t being the victim of speaking English as a second language 🤣 He says that it’s a “vision” and not showcases a future product, but I feel like they just don’t wanna admit that it’s the future i3 at this point in time. Usually many of the vision cars turned into reality so it’ll be the same case with this as well.

Domagoj Dukec does not keep anything, even with first and last name... 4'26"

"This (VNK) would be the core (nucleus) of BMW if it were a 3-series/5-series, which our customers like and a differentiator from all the other cars that are electric, because they all follow the Tesla Model 3 a bit...you see so many Chinese, Neo , Xipoang, even Mercedes that have that silhouette"
