Something like this?

Looks 5er size. Since responsibility for the 5 is established. It could be potentially be the most forward thinking design of the segment?

However, I don’t think we will have a B5 in the new era.

The cockpit looks like a refurbished Tesla. It's the most uninspired interior I've seen recently.

Looks like a mix of German high tech with Scandinavian minimalism to me. It's a little too bright for me in this color combo, but it's stunning looking nonetheless.

Fully understand how somehow who likes garish LED littered digital maximalism isn't attracted to this.

BMW AG smashed it out of the park back in 2014 with the Vision VFL sedan. Alas, little more than selected isolated elements came to fruition in later series production BMW 7 series sedans. Hence, the absolutely splendid Vision VFL viewed holistically, proved to be little more than an illusion.

While I am certainly not expecting the perhaps even more splendid Vision ALPINA to be replicated "one-to-one" as a series production vehicle, I am really crossing my fingers tightly that far, far more of it will find its way into future large BMW AG sedan, GC and GT offerings. The sheer mastery of it's design must not be squandered.

I wish this could be expanded upon.

"In March, we were on Amelia Island for a closed-door meeting with Oliver Viellechner, Vice President of BMW Alpina and head of the division, and Maximilian Missoni, the brand's head of design. What they described is not a 7 Series with a different name and more elegant stitching."
