I think at this stage Alpina is a blank slate. First cars will be series production x7 and 7. However I think bmw are open minded to custom bodies depending on market demand and what customers ask for.

There is a wide gap between bmw and RR and I think they are open to ideas.
The first model will be the 7 Series. Then the X7 will come. But I expect this coupe to go into production while retaining its design. It really has a very striking and spectacular design. It's definitely even better than I expected.

At 200k, This is what you get at Mercedes.

Huge screen bezels, cheap piano black details. I'm sorry, but it's awful. There's nothing appealing about it. If BMW had made this design, it would be torn apart by all the Mercedes fanboys. But now they're asking $200,000 for it.

When everyone returns to work in Munich mid-week (Villa d’Este week, no one will back on Monday😋) they will have returned just as they did with Skytop and Speedtop with lots of interest and pending deposits.

I'm sure Leylandi had nervous breakdowns after seeing this car. But he'll still bash it because it's a BMW. If it carried a Mercedes logo instead of a BMW one, Leylandi would be working overtime and singing praises to the car all night long.

Can't you write anything without taking shots at Mercedes fans?
I'm sorry, but BMW has always lagged behind Mercedes in the luxury segment. The S-Class is still better than the 7 Series.

yes one more.

Someone who can't even add a "like" button to a Mercedes shouldn't be saying these things.

What they told us previously is that Alpina will exclusively focus on the GKL-Klasse from now on. But being active in this segment offers a blank slate to implement new philosophy’s previously unknown from BMW until CSL “50” and “Skytop/Speedtop” proved highly convincing to a specific customer base. Bespoke is a perfect canvas for Alpina.

Ah, I'm only talking about you, buddy. Because your only job is talking nonsense about BMWs and singing praises to Mercedes. I'm sure you had a rage meltdown after seeing this car. You constantly criticize the screen layout, but you praise those huge bezel cheap screens in the S Class

I hope BMW Alpina will take care of the lower series in the form of B3/B4/B5 as well. Just look at how much praise this car gets, this is what we want from BMW! It is always said that there is always hate on new BMW models, but this shows the exact opposite. Time to listen to the public? :)

BMW Alpina is definitely making BMW great again.

I think you've forgotten the insults I wrote when the S-Class was introduced. Yet you were smiling at them. I wish you were as honest as you are and developed your critical skills for the brands you defend. When BMW repeated the aspects you criticized for Mercedes, your approach shifted from criticism to defense. That never changed. Your obsession with tablets turned into love with BMW. You're a hypocritical brand.
Yes, the current S-Class interior looks more sophisticated than the 7 Series. This cabin layout doesn't suit this class. I think you're going crazy because you keep sending me provocative messages.

The veteran automotive designer spoke.

You criticized the S Class, but now you're constantly praising it. You claim this screen layout isn't suitable for this class, but is a screen layout with huge, awful bezels really suitable for this class?

That full frontal shot is just explicit p0rn. Overall, it looks FANTASTIC, except the moronic square steering wheel with spokes at 12 and 6 o'clock (same for 7er facelift)

I love what they did with the kidneys design, both in shape and the angle they form to each other.

The impression I get is that B3, B5 etc… are done.
And that all focus for the brand is solely directed at the Grand-Klasse Luxury Segment.
