that confirms it ,completely different grille layout to the “leaked”
I'm intrigued to know what the psychology is behind the "mastermind" who spends time and "effort" making fake photos and trying to pass them off as real, like fake news. Will the traffic motivate them?

Bentayga the first luxury SUV? What would you call a Range Rover (Autobiography) then?

Agree with the Innovation part though.

The Range Rover isn’t a SUV, it’s still a proper 4x4 with transfer case and 2 diff locks. That’s a luxury 4x4 but not a SUV.

The first luxury SUV with luxury in mind was indeed the Bentley.

The old grand wagoner had still a ladder frame.

BTW the first real SUV was the E53, the first 4x4 optimized for the road.

I was actually surprised that Alpina haven’t build X5 version.

Going by this (which I don't agree with), the X5 is the first luxury SUV. The Bentley is a modded Touareg and came many years later.

As I say the first SUV was indeed the E53, but it was very sporty suspension vise.

It was the first SUV that felt like a normal car.

Out of curiosity which car was the first luxury SUV for you? The Range Rover?

4x4 is best as a technical drivetrain classifier.
SUV is best as a loose descriptor of a vehicle body-style. The original Range Rover - irrespective of its drivetrain - is more an SUV than anything else.
SUVs have been around for ages - before even the original Range Rover - and far earlier than the original X5 (which is most definitely not the first SUV).

The vehicle that I posted a photo image of earlier is a MY 1966 Jeep Super Wagoneer. It's origins date back to 1962 when the original Jeep Wagoneer entered production in the fall of that year for the 1963 MY. It is considered by many to have been the "first" SUV.

However, many automotive historians consider the 1935 Chevrolet Suburban Carryall to have been the very first "SUV":

I'm out now...the thread has gone off the originally intended trajectory. In part, my bad.

I don't think there will be a leak. At most, a leak might happen a few hours before the announcement. Besides, there's very little time left until the launch now.
