M8 BMW shows 'M8'

The BMW M8 is the high-performance version of the BMW 8 Series (G15) marketed under the BMW M sub-brand. Introduced in June 2019, the M8 was initially produced in the 2-door convertible (F91 model code) and 2-door coupe (F92 model code) body styles. A 4-door sedan (F93 model code, marketed as 'Gran Coupe') body style was added to the lineup in October 2019. The M8 is powered by the BMW S63 twin-turbocharged V8 engine shared with the BMW M5 (F90). Official website: BMW M
Thanks for Your answer Scott...

... remembering those days with Wolfgang Reitzle and Ulrich Bez ... :)

Patros

Yeah, because of Reitzle, the interior quality of the E39 5er is better than the E60.

The M8 has been shown before. I have seen pics on the internet of it. This might be the 'official' premiere, but it's not the first time we see it.

And that one-off X5 must be the X5 Le Mans with 700 hp :)

Whoa, never heard of that one before!

The photos we'll show, are pretty damn detailed :)

and no, it's not the LeMans. Trust me, everyone was surprised to see that car. Not many knew what it was though :)

Yeah, you got that right. I've seen one or two grainy scans on the internet, buty nothing remotely like this. As for the interior, I think most of us see it for the first time ever now (same as the engine bay open), so you guys did a great job...

Give us a hint for that other car please :D Sedan? Coupé? Roadster? Cabrio? Touring?

How long must we wait to see the pics?

I remember seeing a 850 some years ago , very impressive automobile...

Thanks. We try :) There will be tons of shots of the engine, interior, dashboard, brakes, tires, you name it....

The other car is an X5, 1st generation, 200kg lighter....some cool stuff done with carbon fiber.

850, 850... i remember that one.
We really had a "hot" divorce!

Not really a good feeling sitting in a car and see the flames melting the front windows, but: Long long ago...

Writing the X5 article as we speak.

The M8 will not be far enough, waiting on some more info from BMW and also, to edit our video. Was there ever a video of the M8?

I believe no!

Now, may I ask you something? If I got it correctly, the car was a the ground flour, next to the room with the M's? But when they showed the E39 M5 Touring and that E34 Cab, they are showing the cars at a different place?

Is there any chance that those cars will ever be exhibited to the public, will they be at Mobile Tradition, or what?

:t-cheers:

The car will not remain in the museum, this was a one time deal for this event. I personally spoke with the people in charge of the event.

Not sure if it will be shown in the future or not....

No, I don't think so. Just a few very crappy scans that are hella old.

Now, tell us: Is there a way that we can visit the Mobile Tradition?

:t-cheers:

Never mind...

Now where is that X5 article you promised? :D

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
