Well we're back home and I cab only say one thing, it was an amazing weekend. Friday evening we visited the BMW plant in Munich (but we couldn't take pictures there). It was to see how my car has been built. What they can do on very limited space, just amazing.
But Saturday was an even more amazing day. At 11 o'clock the fan day afficioaly started with the presentation of the drivers and the team management. They were all there, Kubica, Heidfeld, Klein, Asmer, Theissen, Riedl, Rampf end of course Peter Sauber.
There where about 1000 people andI must say the organisation was very good. apart from the autogram session, but this was caused by the selfishness of people that sometimes had like 10 posters to be signed, so unfortunately I cound't have my T shirt signed. Robert seems to be a bit sad about that
Next thing the drivers competed against eachother on a carrera race track. Here are Nick Heidfeld and Marco Asmer:
Here you can see Asmer again through the smoke he caused making doughnuts:
It's a great sensation to have an F1 car started right in front of your nose. Seeing Kubica get in and seeing him take off like a madman. He really enjoyed his demo run, passing at the borders by mere inches.
The Rc car winners could drive against the F1 drivers and after his race Kubica parked his Rc car in front of the F1.07.
Here is me with Marco Asmer. It was almost impossible to het a picture with Nick or Robert, and the one time it would have been my wife didn't know what was going on and reacted way to late (she had the camera).
Afterwards they gave away some prices like two rims, and some other car parts. I was also lucky and won a leather team jacket.
It was an amazing day and for a true F1 and BMW fan this is something to look forward to!! I'll be back next year!!
I also got to drive a new 123d coupé on a slalom track, and you could perform a pit stop yourself. All great extra things that made this a special day!
