Things are heating up in the advertising battle between BMW and Audi.

In this latest offensive, BMW has purchased a huge ad space on a billboard directly above Audi of Hong Kong. A massive advertisement for the new 5-Series sits on a wall over the showroom windows, all but completely displacing the Audi dealership from view.

The ad war between the two German premium brands began a while ago, with competing billboards in California and repeated jabs at each other in European print ads. Lately, the campaign escalated when Audi aired a commercial in the U.S. during the Olympics which referred to BMW as "second best".

Now, the next move is up to Audi. But what they may want to do first is figure out who's fault it is for allowing the billboard space above its Hong Kong dealership to be purchased by the competition.

lol, that billboard is almost as big as the showroom. Quite daring in a cheesy "my cawk is bigger then yours" kinda way.

This is stupid. I Hope MB hasn't and doesn't get involved in this sort of 'marketing' to use the term loosely.

It's just BMW playing the "My d!ck is bigger than your d!ck" game...

Will get bored soon.

The frist thing I noticed is the massive Hong Kong underground rail sign. Is this Audi dealership sitting under the train station?

If I was the owner of that showroom, I would put up a jointer saying "...step inside to see it in person."

No I would put up one that said
"Killing children one mile at a time"
"What you buy your wife when she has no taste"
"What you buy your wife when she catches you with your sister"
"Voted best looking by the blind"
"Voted worst interior design by..."

Something like that. :D

thats pathetic. I was really getting sick of these childish games Audi started, but now BMW is just as bad...they're both like Kia.

No. The Audi dealership is on the ground floor of a building and the subway station is below that building.
Geez BMW is really going for it. I remember they have this huge billboard at the entrance of the busiest cross harbour tunnel. I guess BMWs are really selling better and better there.
