In involving ourselves in the BMW dynasty we all have one car that motivates our devine loyalty. There is a car that fills our passion for BMW. We may general like their entire line up, but there is one car that brings our focus that makes us the BMW fans we are today. Please tell everyone your favorite BMW that is currently in production. Please feel free to post a picture and give DETAIL reason why it's your favorite.

Also if you feel it is absolutely necessary, please feel free to post your runner up for those who have a hard time deciding.

My Pick: The BMW X5

Photo:

My reason: The new X5 look a lot like the previous model, but with more sex appeal. The interior is remarkable for it's class. I really think BMW did a great job with this vehicle. The third row seat really is an added bonus. I really look forward to my first drive of this vehicle.

X5 for me, it's my favorite SUV/SAV on the market at this time. The miner alterations from the previous model to this one are outstanding. They kept the previous models strong points and perfected it's weaknesses. Good going BMW!:eusa_clap
P.S Sorry for jacking your pic.:)

335i Coupe

The 335i coupe is my favourite BMW for a number reasons, but mostly because I appreciate it's subtle and understated design.

Great engine too. :usa7uh:

Easy. The 335i Cabrio. This is a car that puts-out on both ends of the sport / luxury equation that is emblematic of the BMW ethos. It's fast, it sports best-in-class technologies, it looks great and has tons of caché.

If there's a downside it's that the car, despite being tremendously expensive, is becoming common as the Honda Civic virtually overnight. You could say that there's a reduced exclusivity bang for the buck here by way of the car's popularity. There's so many of them on LA's westside now it's remarkable.

am i allowed to vote??
or is it only for BMW fans..

if i where to say 1 car it would be the M5..but i guess i cant say that..
i have to say the 5er in that case..and that i can not do..cause it looks not so good without the M package

so my choice is the 3er coupe:D

cause its a supersexy coupe.. with the right looks..and dynamics.. its what a Bmw should be imo

Probably the 335i coupe, closely followed by the 130i 3-door with M package :icondrool
The 335i has the most fantastic engine, tons of power, flawless best in class handling and amazing desing inside out. Plus it is new, and that's mybe why I vote the 335i over the M6 right now....but if I had to choose between M6 and 335i coupe I'd take the M6 without hesitation.
So let's just say I currently admire the 335i and 130i the most (130i for looks, I6 and perfect handling), but the cars I want most in my garage are M5 and M6

I know the 335i, drove it a couple of days, and I absolutely love it. I dare to say I like it more than the E46 M3, but I still haven't quite decided yet on that one...The new M3 will be my absolute no. 1 Bimmer by the end of the year though (or maybe the X6 V10 :t-crazy2: ....)

Z4 M coupe, An absolutley beautiful car, with some pretty hardcore perfomance as well.

I'll give it to the Z4 M as well. I think cars like the 335i Cabrio & the Z4 M Coupe form the imporant Ying & Yang that make BMW the brand that it is.

Cars like the M Coupe, despite being low-volume cars, are part of the enthusiast soul of BMW that give all their cars performance credibility.

Tough one, either the M6 Convertible or the 335i Coupe.....uh....ok...the 335i Coupe. The overachiever!

M

Hard to say. My favorites are E92, Z4 Coupé and E87 3-doors. But one car only, I think I say E92.

Without a doubt, the prefacelifted 7er (E65/66).
When it was launched, it had such a tremendous impact on the automotive world. It is an important imagemaker for the brand.

While the facelifted model may be more pleasing to the eye, I still prefer the styling of the 'old' model, especially with respect to the rear. The car is starting to show its age now, but mainly because a lot of sharp and bold edges were softened at the time of the facelift. Every time I see a pre-FL 7er passing by, I am still impressed by its presence and bold styling. I'm looking forward to the F01!!

Runner-up: E92 335i

Is the E92 M3 current? It may as well be as the dealers order books are full for the next 18 months down here...

So, it's the E92 M3 Coupé, manual, in white with red leather and black interior.

Superb, low inertia, high-revving V8 masterpiece.
It's a coupé icon and it looks the business in every iteration
It doesn't cost the earth either...

Here, here! Exactly my feelings on the car - well put. :usa7uh:

Thanks Just_me, I should've rephrased that as "is the E92 M3 considered as current" given that it's not officially for sale just yet.

The M3 would be my choice, but it lacks the SMG IV/ZSG yet.

Witch means the poor V8 will be in for some rough, unfair, uncharacteristic and undeserved treatment from the "stick boys", for such an F1 type of engine just like the V10 and Ferrari V8.

So probably the M5.

It's either E92, X5 or 5-series. Hmmm... I think I'll say E92. The design is just like it should be and the performace is outstanding.

The M3 V8 is made for a manual gearbox, unlike the M5 was.

Besides, manual >>>>>> SMG

Probably the 3er coupé, because it's just the most BMW spirited car of the actual line-up, but if all future BMW inherit the BMW excellence from the 90's generation like the new X5, i would probably change my mind.

1. Can an F1 inspired engine really be made for a manual ?!
2. Wrong. Manuals are crap compared to sequentials. ~20 years of F1 prove that.
