BMW F3 Confirmed

Forgive me if this is old news or a repost. I'm suprised I haven't seen a thread covering this news yet. I just got the new issue of AutoWeek and there's an article about BMW's much anticipated/ballyhooed/maligned MPV which now has the tentive moniker of "F3."

I guess the most interesting shred of information here is that BMW originally was planning on an F5-type vehicle but, upon seeing the R-Klasse's failue to attract buyers, decided to aim lower down the automotive totem pole.

I think this is the right thing to do. Premium MPV buyers aren't looking for sometihing tremendously expensive. Consumer tastes just aren't there yet, and may not be for a long, long time.
