Hot! BMW AG: What's Next

Latest news, trending discussions, reviews, and major updates
Pretty dismal showing by VAG (save the Porsche brand). MY 2022 brought VAG and it's Cariad subsidiary into the limelight regarding massive software snafus.
MY25 PPE/PPC models are a nightmare software wise. You either get a car that's working flawlessly or one with critical system errors and failures. Hoping incoming MY26s with the new software and hardware don't have these problems.

No clue on whether this dude on Bimmerpost is a reliable source or not, but he's saying everything I want to hear. Would honestly make sense for there to be an M2 successor considering how many they sell.

Questions from investors and analysts; it's interesting to know what they want to know, the reasons for the company's behavior to date and what they expect from 2026 and beyond.

"While other automakers' profits have plummeted, the BMW Group can boast of a stable year in its 2025 annual report."

Despite the initial ridicule aimed at BMW AG regarding their "non-dedicated" G26 i4 GC/G60-61 i5/G70 i7 BEV strategy, it has turned out that BMW has been doing a good many things "right" after all. And the NKL initiative is looking mighty promising. As things CURRENTLY stand, BMW AG is looking like the "most together" German manufacturer. I really did not expect to be stating this 3 or 4 years ago. I graciously eat crow after all. And being a native of Bavaria, I'll dine with a smile on my face.

I don't know about that. The M2 is based off a car that doesn't sell, being uber niche and very expensive.

Anyways, all these "sources" say something different all the time, so we'll see it when it happens. It's really all just baseless speculation until prototypes hit to road and we can confirm they are actually real.

Looks great! Modern E36.

@martinbo next corporate car?
That’s what it is. Back to basics on the 3er when the revolution began in 1991. Short nose, stubby tail, rounded roof. A vast departure from the angular and typical sedan which began incidentally with the Neue-Klasse. The E36 is so remembered that the Lexus IS200 traced its outline.

Let's not scatter the i3 discussion across multiple threads.
Suggest we keep commentary on the pre-release of the i3 confined to this thread until the official unveiling:
