There is no way to extend the X5 even further. It would have to become a lot wider and taller too, to offset the extra length. So all in all that would mean a different car with bigger wheelbase and the whole 9 yards. Essentially what the 7er is to a 5er.

The X5M and X6M are mild hybrids. They made them plug-in in M5 because they wanted to sell the M5 G90/G99 when EURO7 comes into effect.
