The current G07 X7 is 5181 mm long. The G05 X5 is 4935 mm long.

If the upcoming G65 grows by 10 cm, it will reach 5035 mm and get even closer to the X7. For that reason, the X7 has to grow as well to maintain the segment gap. The G67 X7 will probably come in around 5300 mm. And it will still be shorter than the G70 7 Series.

As far as BMW SUVs go, the exterior dimensions of the upcoming new ix5 should be more than enough. Those exterior dimensions should be enough regardless of manufacturer IMHO.

This X7 is almost comically super-sized.

X7 you can have your kids sit in the 3rd row. X5 you can only have your kids sit in the 3rd row if they don’t have legs.
