It looks pretty good from this angle. It doesn't have a humpback design like the current X4, and it has a flowing line.

The iX4 lacks the tiny bootlid which looks like a ridiculous design element on the current X4.
And the new one seems to have a little integrated spoiler with brake light built in, and just a way more round rear like a Tesla or a Macan.

And indeed the roofline is so much better it's not even funny.

If it were an X6, the door handles would be different. This is clearly an iX4.

From the A-pillar back I agree, forward of that the X4 looks better imo. The iX4 looks FWD.

I'm sure it'll look just fine as a whole when the camo comes off.

Apart from the silhouette that looks interesting (like mini-X6), the iX4 will be barely different from the iX3. Same front fascia, same tail lights, same interior. At least the G02 differentiated itself from the G01 with a distinct rear end signature.

An SUV has to really try hard to look FWD to me personally.
But besides that, iX4 will be solely BEV and thus won't require a gigantic hood. It is what it is.

It will be similar to iX3 up to the A pillar in terms of proportions. Picture is also angled a bit towards the front which just makes it look different.

But increase the length. Lower the rear roof…The next X6.
