This is how all EVs are. RWD only has one motor, AWD has two. It would be very artificial to limit it and have both the RWD and AWD versions to make the same power.Interestingly, the xDrive40 has 394hp, but the RWD version stays at 340hp. Combined with the M4 changes where the xDrive Comp gets 530hp, but the non xDrive Comp stays at 510hp, BMW is making distinctions between RWD and 4WD in terms of power.
