The S2000 Type S without a doubt. It's the most hard core of cars here and is under no mistaken identity. It's light, agile, revs until the end of time and corners like it's on rails...and best of all, this car communicates with you. The type S is pretty much a track car for the road, none of the other cars can claim that. Sure the Nismo Z is serious but with that porky weight it's not gonna get too far.

It's funny. As much as people on this website bitch about how other car makers aren't hard core enough like a BMW and such...it's the softest one here and that gets the vote. LOL :D

Well, I think it is a case of one fresh car against three ageing old farts which got a new set of suspensions and tires. Those modifications could easily be done to the new car as well, hence the result.

I know im simplifying a tad here but this i how I think the matter is perceived.

I love the normal S2000, but that type S is too ricey. So is that 350Z.

I have long way to work and we are four persons in one car. Out of these , the 135i is the only car here to transport four people + I need space for bags and computers. 135i is better for everyday use than the other three cars.

1) As far as wishful thinking goes and I was being given the car for free, I would definitely take choose the 135i.

2) However if I was actually going to purchase the car from from my own pocket, definitely would be the Honda S2000! Since this scenario is more along the lines of reality I voted for the S2000.

On another note, I doubt I would ever purchase the 1 series. I still can digest the looks. I would rather add some extra dough and get the 335 coupe.

Actually, the RX-8 does have back seats (with significant leg room) and a boot/trunk ;)

Its too small and too cramped, as a everyday car with practicality and comfort the 135i is hard to beat, at least in this gang.

check out this video, the backseat test : ;)

Sure, the 1er is more practical. But why would carguy list the 1 series, and then list the hardcore version of other cars that are not even it's competitors. I'm guessing that it had to to with, "what is better on track" hence the reason behind the competitors all being track specials. If that wasn't the case than this is a pretty biased and not well thought out pole.

Closer Japanese competitors to 135 is Evo and STI. I would have a tough time choosing 135 over those though I might still choose it just cause I hate the way the new STI looks and 30 something guys driving an Evo is just sad (IMO of course).

your choice its says, there are no criterias listed. Then he need to write more specific what we should vote for. I stated why i voted for 135i, i simply cant be driving the others for obvious reasons.
So you are saying i should stay the f out of this thread cause we cant vote for those reasons i listed earlier.

Me neither, and my obvious reason is that the 135i is a lightyear better than those Japanese cars :D
