1:39,5 min - BMW S1000 RR
1:40,1 min - BMW 1M Safety Car

:t-cheers:

I was expecting much more from the Bike, something around 1.34 - 1,35.
Dede is it possible to know the bike rider's name?
Thank you for now.

He's the Supertest-author Horst von Saurma. He is a former-motorbike racer, however his times with bikes are relatively slow, to be honest.

Also the 1M with that track-package is only 0.1 s faster than the stock one tested by AutoBild Sportscars.

The bike's time are relatively slow, and now i can understand the reason.
if i'm not wrong Saurma lap times are the follows:
Ducati 848: nurburgring 8.25
Ktm RC 8 R: hockenheim: 1.56
Bmw S 1000 RR: sachsenring: 1.39.5
Test from different magazine with professional bike drivers show that Ducati 848 could lap Nurburgring in about 8.00, Ktm RC 8 R could lap Hockenheim in about 1.52-1.53 and Bmw could lap Sachsenring in about 1.34-1.35.
Bmw is a fantastic bike, in Italian magazine show incredible performance: 1.52.4 Monza - 2.00.6 Mugello.
To be honest i think 1000 cc bike could not compare with supercars in Nurburgring (too much corners and too bumpy track), but in Hockenheim Motorrad magazine show that BMW could compete with Porsche GT 2 RS and the same could apply to Sachsenring (with a little edge for car, i suppose).
P.S.: sorry for my english, i'm italian

With the right driver the bike would smoke the car.

PS just a year from now I will be taking driver license for bike. I cant wait :).

Surely that bike would have smoked that car, but it's an unfair comparision and we can't make a general statement: there are some track which are in favour of the car and some others which are in favour of the bike.
For example bikes fit very well to Laguna Seca circuit, beating almost every car (with 1.32 lap time at the moment they have no competitor) and i can say the same for Monza circuit. In other tracks we can say the opposite.
However i must admit Saurma lap time's are not that bad, simply they don't show the real bike potential. He's surely very fast with car (near to the limit, i would say) and surely he's fast with bike, faster than many bike's driver (for example an italian bike's driver lap Nurburgring in 8.25 but with a much powerfull Ducati 1198 S). I think Saurma is a rare example of very fast car's rider who can go fast with bike.
