Best sounding BMW M5 all generations ?

Usually I am a sucker for a V10, especially when it comes to the noise they generate and that straight-6 in the E34 sounds wonderful. But there's something about that V8 in the E39 that I love. E39 gets my vote.

Which in turn, gentlemen, reminds me of last time I met an E60 in regular traffic....I was keeping with it over a couple of avenues just to hear the noise (we where heading to the same side of town) When I finally catch up, I saw the driver...there it was, a gorgeous, dark straight hair, pale skinned, slim girl in her mids 30's driving the beast. What a sight, the car and the girl.

Haha you reminded me of a time I was in Chicago (September 2011) walking down an avenue, I think Halsted, and this black E63 parks in front of me next to the side walk. I liked the car a lot, but then a gorgeous girl in shorts (around my age) gets out of the car [she was driving]. I liked her better haha
