Except for the little Darth Vader ad, I thought all the other super bowl ads this time were mediocre at best.

I agree, most ads weren't all that engaging. The vast majority of ads were so hell-bent on being comical, only a handful of ads actually stood-out.
Like the Bridgestone "reply all" ad, wtf does it have to do with tires?
Yea, I don't know why all of them are hell bent on being comical, it is almost stupid - like the ad agencies have a funny pre canned idea and then just plug whatever product in. Like the Bridgestone "reply all" ad, wtf does it have to do with tires?
Sometimes it really doesn't fit the product itself, but it's memorable and that is what they want to accomplish
pardon my ignorance as Im not too clued up with American culture, but isn't super bowl some kind of sport (like rugby)? If so, what does it have to do with so many movie trailers and car commercials?
