For the new VW Passat 3C with the 2.0 TFSI engine the Siegen-based performance tuner B&B (Tel. 0049 (0) 271 / 30323-0 – www.bb-automobiltechnik.de) is offering several power enhancement stages. From 240hp via 250, 286 and finally up to incredible 300hp we are offering consecutive power enhancement levels that catapult the sedan and variant to 100 km per hour in less than 6 seconds and endow your car with a max speed of 260 km per hour. To achieve these performance levels, our technicians replace the stock turbocharger with our larger B&B version and apply extensive changes to the charge air cooling system, the injection system, air induction system, engine control. To keep exhaust gas temperatures down and further reduce exhaust gas back pressure, the Sport Passat is equipped with a special exhaust system with a larger downpipe and high-performance racing catalysts.

im tired of these tuned passats.. is there really so much interest in tuned passats in the world..i havent seen a single one in sweden..

Sweden is but just a tiny fraction of the world.

I believe kits like these will be popular. I see a modded Passat very often driven by boy racers.

Quite frankly i don't see a point in tuning any car. If you don't like a car as it is simply buy something else. :D

im with you on that.. allthough they are cool tuned cars but i would never buy one..
as far as tuning goes.. the limit is reached at RS, AMG and M for me..thats it..

One big reason why people 'mod' their cars is because it is cheaper than buying the same car with a higher engine displacement.

True but more expensive versions usually have better brakes , gearboxes ect. so it's nearly impossible to make the car with the smaller engine the same with the one with the bigger one.
For example here in Greece many people buy a E46 and put a M3 engine later on but it's a waste of time and money. A simple 3 series will never be the same with a M3 no matter how many parts you change.

Yeah but if I buy an STi and then tune it a bit, what could you argue with that? I could understand by your argument if I bought a WRX and tuned it as I could have just gotten an STi instead, but Subaru doesn't make anything better than the STi, and yet I'd rather have the increased performance of a Porsche or something, they're still way outta the price range.
