Autozeitung says BMW has given green light for a CSL. Coming 2010. Being presented Frankfurt Autoshow 2009.

About 100 kg lighter, around 470hp, updated DCT gearbox.

Autozeitung reckon it can do Nordschleife in 7.45 min and a price below 900.000 Euro.

Last M3 CSL came late as well. BMW are in no hurry like some other carmakers.

This is the M division we are talking about. Can't remember them ever disappointing? Certainly compared to the competition...

they cant be held reponsible for that
and in their field they probably are the best..

the only thing that bugs me is the long wait..

So again about two years + after the standard model... should this information be reliable.

We all guess there will be no M6 CSL and if it was a question of one or the other I guess not many would have gone for the M6 CSL over the M3 CSL.

Well, at least they are not overexerting themselves ;-)

Lets hope that at least some of the things are true. €90,000 seems cheap I think. My guess is that it will be priced about the same as a 997 GT3, maybe a bit more.

7:45? Well, that is what is to be expected, the last iteration in mind. If it does not manage this time it will not be released.

HP is totally irrelevant, this is not AMG.

Just take a look at what the E46 CSL was up against, then take a look at what has happened to the competition since last time. BMW will have to do the samt to the CSL. Therefore, should that price tag whitstand the test of reality, friends, then we have what could only be described as a true bargain at hand.

Dear Misguided Individual.

Thank you for your question in relation to our extended product line.
As you know or did not know but now you must accept that BMW AG is no ordinary car company. So we do not justify introducing products just because our competitors have them.
Also when we progress our cars further we always make sure they have a purpose away from the core product and are not an extended disco remix.
we would also like to point out that when a driver exists one of our cars (only once) he does not look bored after he is has driven a car from M-Division which is not entirely about power placement and straight line speed.

Whilst you have complaints regarding our press photographs which are now taken on board by the relevant departments.
