Audi S8 - 100.800 €

Bmw 760Li - 126.700 €

RESULT:

Both cars offer a lot of power. But every car represent a completely different philosophy.
The S8 is the athlete, the 760 is the comfortable car for travelling.
The BMW isn't sporty like the Audi. The car is to heavy, the suspension is to smooth and the V12 is extremely cultivated.
The aggressive 10 cylinder engine of the Audi edge the driver on using the gas pedal. The tight suspensions love curves and the four-wheel-drive supports this.
When it comes to the chapter of comfort, the BMW 760Li is the measure. The V12 is quiet and never becomes importunately. Nevertheless the car has in every situation enough power, but he don't want to rush.

Audi Audi Audi, all the way! The current S8 is a favourite and I think it is a possible candidate for the position shoud I have to live with only one car ever...

You can really tell that the BMW is almost six years old.

Refreshingly different test! If I had to choose between these two, I would definately take the S8. It's sportier and even though that 7er has a very nice interior, I still prefer Audi's design by a small margin.

Couldnt say no to my dream car... i'd take the BMW for that reason and that reason only... The S8 is one of the best looking cars in the world so if i wasnt so single minded then i'd take it any day of the week aswell... can't we just have both... in the perfect world

So pretty much you searched for this comparison and created this thread just to say 'Ha! Mr. Richter you're wrong!' .. hmmm...

It's clear as day why there is no M7. It's not becuase there's no need for it, but because the an M7 would not fall within the M-Philosophy. No suprise at all that the S8 is the sportier of the two... though as stated in your source, the BMW V12 delivers more than enough power.

From the exterior the S8 just wins for me, but interior wise the 7er is an easy choice. Overall, I'd go for the S8.. but with that money the M5 would be my number 1 pick for a sedan.

Im not into big luxury cars, lux and comfort isnt important to me and S8 is the sportiest car so it gets my vote.
But I must say the 7er look elegant in dark colours and the rear is the sexiest among the german trio.

S8 for me, nothing else to think about. A more proper comparo would have been a short-wheelbase 760i or a B7.

I think the exterior of the S8 looks much better then that of the 760iL, but that long gearlever in the middle of the interior looks hideous. Overall I would have picked the S8.

PS. The side profile of the S8 looks really good

THe BMW is more car--definitely, just look at the interiors. Personally i'd take the S8 as well, but then again id rather have an RS4 than a S8. The problem with the S8 is that its both a compromise in comfort and performance-much more so than say.,...an M5-or an RS6.
